Omarchy is DHH's opinionated Arch Linux + Hyprland setup — one command turns a bare Arch install into a fully configured, keyboard-driven desktop with a curated app stack, terminal-first workflow and its own theming/plugin system. It shipped as a side project out of 37signals/Basecamp and has since grown into one of the fastest-growing Linux distros on GitHub, backed since August 2026 by the $8-10M Omacom Foundation (funded by patrons including DHH, Michael Dell, Tobi Lütke and Patrick Collison).
In April 2026, Dell partnered directly with Intel and the Omarchy project to backport Panther Lake driver support ahead of the XPS 14/16 launch — the first "Day-One" Linux partnership of its kind from a major OEM. That, plus the Quattro (v4.0.0) rewrite in August 2026, is why we've built out a full cluster of guides below instead of a single review.
